Unemployment Fightback – organising meeting

The 5 June 11- 1pm follow-up meeting will focus on organising trade unions and community campaigns to build the movement. Most of the time will be spent on group and plenary discussions to pull the ideas and actions of the previous week together into a strategy for building the necessary movement. Speakers include:

Pete Middleman from the NEU and Regional TUC, Henry Fowler from StrikeMap, Jo Rust on community organising and local Councils, Tam Kirby on Trades Councils and People’s Assembly, Rohan Kon of Sheffield Needs a Pay Rise, CWU Ian Taylor on combatting racism at work and NEU Gawain Little on developing power in the workplace, and Jordi Lopez-Botey from IWGB on organising workers in precarious jobs.
